Security and data

Security and data, stated plainly.

Marketing Mary is pre-launch. This page lists what we can confirm today. If your team needs more, ask and we’ll send our documentation.

What can you confirm today?

Seven things. We only publish what we can confirm, and we’ll add to this list as more is confirmed.

  1. 01Your data is hosted in the UK, in London.
  2. 02Each organization’s data is kept separate.Every customer organization’s data is kept apart from every other’s, and that separation is tested automatically on every change to the product.
  3. 03Usage limits are checked before any work starts. With a warning as you approach a limit and a firm stop at it.
  4. 04The product is designed to meet WCAG AA.WCAG AA is the common standard for accessible text and color. Status is never shown by color alone.
  5. 05People approve everything before it goes anywhere.Articles and plan pieces need a named reviewer to sign a six-point checklist.
  6. 06Quotes are extracted, never written. Each quote is pulled from Marketing Mary’s stored copy of the page and checked, so a made-up quotation is prevented by design.
  7. 07Detailed documentation is available on request.Including our data processing agreement and our list of sub-processors.

What if your review needs more than this page?

Ask. We’ll send what your security or procurement team needs to review, including our data processing agreement (how we handle your data, in contract form) and our list of sub-processors (the companies that help us run the service).

Questions about security and data

Where is my data stored?

In the UK, in London.

Can other customers see my data?

No. Each customer organization’s data is kept separate, and that separation is tested automatically on every change to the product.

Who sees my website content?

Mary reads the public pages of the website you give her. The copies she keeps are stored with your organization’s data, separate from every other organization’s. Our list of sub-processors, the companies that help us run the service, is available on request.

Can I get your data processing agreement?

Yes. Ask through our contact page and we’ll send it, along with our list of sub-processors.

Does Marketing Mary publish anything without approval?

No. A person approves everything before it goes anywhere, and articles and plan pieces need a named reviewer to sign a six-point checklist.
